Where to Stay

Nightly room rates range dramatically depending on the location and amenities, but because of a surplus of available accommodations, tourists can expect to pay bargain rates compared to other tropical destinations in Central America and the Caribbean. Rooms range from just under US$10 a night to about US$350 for a double. In addition, when considering the cost of your stay, keep in mind that there is a hefty "room tax" of 16.3%.
