Spas
A
facet of tourism that is still maturing, spas and retreat centers are steadily
pushing their way into world-class status. Most spas will offer massage,
facials, body wraps, mud baths, aromatherapy, and some form of fitness
training. Other more exotic treatments are a little harder to find. Specialty
baths, cellulite treatments, nutrition consultation, Body Talk treatments,
reflexology and acupuncture will help to differentiate one spa from another.
Many of the spas around active volcanoes take advantage of surrounding
whirlpools and offer thermal water baths and natural Jacuzzis.
